ArcGIS 9.3.1 SP1

So the upcoming release of ArcGIS 9.3.1 SP1 addresses a lot of issues. I am somewhat curious why it’s not being called 9.3.2. Calling it a service pack seems to be mixing metaphors. Hopefully, ESRI will reconsider before it hits the street.

  2. I was wondering the same thing and thought the revision numbers were in place of service packs. Then again, I think I read that on a blog rather than from ESRI directly.

    It’s still confusing though. I wish they would just call it 9.3.2

      1. Hopefully , they don’t…
        An SP is a free download from ESRI site. For a 9.3.2, you’ll have to be up to date with maintenance… 😉
